“Ideas That Drive Change” Initiative Successfully Completed

CWP and the Local Foundation Pančevo (LFP) have successfully concluded the “Ideas That Drive Change” program, providing support to seven local initiatives in Dolovo and Banatsko Novo Selo with a total of 2,000,000 dinars. The program aimed to empower local communities through projects that enhanced social cohesion, environmental awareness, cultural heritage, and health.

The initiatives, selected through a public call and evaluated by an independent jury, have made significant positive impacts on their communities and left a lasting impression:

  • The educational program “Diversity is Within Us” by the citizens’ association “Mozaik” raised awareness about mental health and hygiene among children in Banatsko Novo Selo and Dolovo.
  • The documentary film “Threads of Banat Embroidery” by the association “Srbija moj dom” won the award for Best Film in Ethnoculture and Rural Life at the Vrmdža Fest.
  • The educational program “Green Lizard Adventure” by the association “Youth Zone” promoted ecology and recycling through play and education, involving over 100 children in workshops.
  • “Dolovo is Poetry” by the informal group “Dolovo Poets” organized a poetry colony and produced a collection of over 100 pages featuring children’s poetry and illustrations of the village.
  • The educational program “Reproductive Health is Not Taboo!” by the Creative Youth Center Pančevo for AIDS prevention “KOMPAS” educated young people about reproductive health in both communities.
  • The initiative “Including People with Disabilities in Our Community’s Life” by the Dolovo Youth Initiative installed two new ramps for people with disabilities at the Cultural Center in Dolovo.
  • The initiative “Marketplace Time Machine” by the “Neozoik” Foundation educated children about local archaeological heritage, making a strong impression on the public.

These initiatives have demonstrated that small communities can achieve substantial changes with the right support. CWP is proud of the accomplishments of these projects, which have shown that even small changes can have a significant impact. We remain committed to supporting such initiatives, as they are crucial for the continued development and empowerment of local communities.
